Steam Ceremony (Banya)
The Steam Ceremony at Spiral is not just a sauna. It’s a holistic ritual where body, breath, plants, fire, water, steam, sound, and space all become guides — leading you into a deeper connection with yourself and the present moment. It’s a time to slow down, cleanse, and restore — carefully crafted by masters with deep attention to every participant.
What is the Spiral Steam Ceremony?
1. Arrival & Intention Setting
We welcome you to the Spiral house with herbal tea and fresh fruits — a moment to ground, settle in, and tune into the process.
2. Steam Ceremony (1.5–2 hours)
Two rounds, six cycles of steam, carefully led by two steam masters:
– gentle steam (from a wood-fired oven)
– aromatic herbs (eucalyptus, wormwood, oregano, cypress)
– deep work with the body, breath, and state
– elements of sound healing (singing bowl, drum, voice)
– careful work with oak branches by two steam masters, with individual attention to each guest
– in between the rounds — immersion in the cool mountain levada (stream)
3. Integration
After the ceremony — rest inside the Spiral house: silence, tea, fruits, and a soft return to the body.

Open Ceremonies
Open to everyone — we gather a group of up to 8 participants.

Usually held on Thursdays at 18:00.

Total duration: about 3 hours.
Contribution (per person): 75 €
Private Ceremonies
For established groups — friends, retreat teams, or colleagues.
— You choose the day and time that suit you best. The ceremony can be woven into a retreat program, a special gathering, or a personal celebration.
— When a group of close people comes together, the process goes deeper — more trust, more relaxation, more resonance.
Contribution:
- 2 people: 400 €
- 3–5 people: 500 €
- 6–8 people: 600 € Each additional participant beyond 8: +75 €
Included: the work of two steam masters, herbal tea, fruits, spring water, and all tools and materials used in the ceremony.
